What is included with the Bridge Run Registration and Event?

2-Person Half Marathon Relay includes Shirt for both participants.
Kids Run includes T-Shirt. 
Double (HM & 5K) includes 1/4 Zip, 5K Tech Shirt, Commemorative Finishers Medal, and Special Gift.

Our Packet Pick-Up and Race Expo is on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2 at 5 South College Drive in Binghamton, NY. Post-race festivities in VICTORY VILLAGE will take place in the stadium parking lot on Fayette St. beginning at 9:30 am - post-race food, Beer Tree brew, live music and awards.

What if I can't run on race day?

Accepted Answer

You can defer race entry fee for 1-year at 50% of the next year's registration fee paid. Contact the Race Director to set this up. Deferrals must be requested by April 15, 2026.

Question 3

What if I can't make the Expo on Friday or Saturday?

Accepted Answer

There will be Packet Pick-Up on Race Day at Mirabito Stadium beginning at 6:00 a.m. for the Half Marathon and 8:00 a.m. for the 5K. Race Day Packet Pick-Up will include your bib, timing device and shirt only.

What if I can't remember if I registered?

All that are registered will receive a confirmation email from RunSignup and can check their registration via their RunSignup Account or on the website in "Find a Participant".

Question 5

Are walkers allowed?

Accepted Answer

You can walk in either event, but walkers MUST adhere to sidewalks wherever available. It is also important that walkers line up at the back of the pack at the start. DO NOT START NEAR THE FRONT TOWARD THE STARTING LINE, because you will be blocking people who are planning to run and will need to get around you. Best practice for runners or walkers is to line up near other people who are going to be going your expected pace, and for walkers this usually means toward the end of the group.
NOTE: The course closes for both races at 11:00 a.m. We cannot guarantee that your time will be recorded if you finish after 11:00 a.m. At that time, all road marshals and safety crews will leave the course. 
NOTE: If you are not past the halfway point (Relay Exchange Point), by 9:15 AM, please approach the remainder of your walk as a regular walk and not part of the event from a safety and traffic standpoint as the Police and Road Marshals will be moving to other parts of the course.  Thank you.

Can I wear headphones?

Accepted Answer

If you wear headphones while you are running, you are competing in violation of race policies. We will not disqualify you, but when you sign the waiver to compete, you acknowledge that you are doing this at your own risk. We strongly discourage the wearing of headphones during the Bridge Run. There are areas of the course where runners need to be aware of their surroundings and able to hear directions from road marshals.

Can I run with a stroller or dog?

Accepted Answer

No. Strollers as well as animals are prohibited from the race course and if you run with a dog, you will be asked to leave the course. The course is an "open course" and this rule is for the protection of the participant and other runners.

What are the registration deadlines?

Accepted Answer

New online registrations will be accepted until 11:59 PM, Wednesday, April 29th. No more online registrations will be accepted beyond this date - no exceptions.
Registrations for the half-marathon races, double bridge run, or relay races will ONLY be available online. You will NOT be able to register for these three events at the Expo or on Race Day.
All changes to existing registrations must be received by 11:59 PM on Wednesday, April 29th. There will be no changes, deferrals, and/or refunds allowed after this deadline - no exceptions.

When do I pick up my race packet?

Packets can be picked up, at 5 South College Drive, Binghamton, NY 13905
Friday, May 1, 2026 - 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Saturday, May 2, 2026 - 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
Race day packet pick-up is also, at Mirabito Stadium:
Sunday, May 3, 2026
6:00 am for the Half Marathon/Relay/Double.
8:00 am for the 5k/Kids Run.

What is the refund policy?

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a refund. If you cannot participate in this year's race, you defer your race registration at 50% of the registration fee for the next year's event. The reduced registration will be applicable until the registration deadline for the next year's race. You will receive, via e-mail, a deferral code that can be used to register for the next year's race. You must complete this by April 29, 2026.

Can I pick up someone else's race packet?

You may pick up someone else's packet by providing a copy of that registrants photo-ID

Can I transfer my bib to another person?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if you can not run, and you want to transfer your bib to another person, you can via RunSignUp. This is only available until April 15, 2026 and a BIB Transfer has to be initiated via RunSignUp so that all information is available and the participant waiver is completed.

Can I switch races after I have already registered?

Accepted Answer

Yes, If you want to switch events, you can do so using RunSignup and by following the registration process.
Additional charges will be assigned for higher cost registrations. For changes to events that are lower in cost, the existing registration fee will be allocated to the cost, but no refund will be processed.

How do I register for the relay with my 2nd runner?

The Team Captain can register the team and make payment. Here are the steps:
(1) Click the "Register" button on the website.
(2) Scroll to signup for the "Half Marathon Relay".
(3) Register yourself and "add a registrant" for your teammate. 
(4) Create a Relay Team.
(5) Select which category your team will compete - Male, Female, Coed.
(6) Select for your teammate to join the same Relay Team as you.
(7) Select Relay Shirt Sizes.
(8) Proceed to the payment screen. 
(9) You will receive a RunSignup Confirmation E-Mail and will be able to see your team noted on the "Relay Team" section of the Bridge Run RunSignup Page.

Can you give me more info about the 2-person Half Marathon Relay?

MILEAGE - Runner 1 - 6.25 miles; Runner 2 - 6.85 miles (miles are estimated for each one)START - Runner 1 starts with HM runners at 7:30 AM at Mirabito Stadium. Runner 2 waits for Runner 1 on South Washington Street Pedestrian Bridge.EXCHANGE - Runner 1 ends and Runner 2 starts at the exchange point located on the Washington Street pedestrian bridge. **Relay runners stay to the left side of the cones; Full HM runners to the right**PARKING/TRANSPORTATION - Runners will need to coordinate their own transportation to and from the exchange point. No shuttle service will be provided. Parking is available at DeMunn Funeral Home (36 Conklin Ave.) or Lourdes Pain & Wellness Center (26 S. Washington St.).FINISH - Runner 1 can meet Runner 2 at the finish line to cross together.RESULTS - Results will be listed by Team Name.PRIZES - Non-cash prizes will be given to the top all male, top all female, and top mixed team.

What is the non-competitive participant division?

The Bridge Run strives to be an inclusive event that values the diversity of our members, participants, partners, staff and volunteers. With that in mind, we have updated our registration process effective November 29, 2022. Runners will now have the option to register as a male, female or opt out of the gender division as a non-competitive participant. Participants who choose the non-competitive participant division during registration will appear in results but will not be eligible for cash or age-group awards.In addition, shirts and other sized-items will be labeled as "men's fit" and "women's fit." All sizes and fits will be available to all participants and options will not be limited based on gender identity.

Are the Bridge Run Half Marathon & 5K Courses USATF Certified?
